"The Caribe Hilton is an old building (75+ years), so it’s showing its age. Nevertheless, it is super charming! The pool is world class, and the bar/live music was incredible!
I am born and raised puertorican, so I am aware of the cultural importance of this hotel. So many puertorican artists have performed here, it is a pinnacle of who’s who when it comes to PR’s artistic heritage. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again, however, they’re not pet friendly, and that is a no-no next time I come visit my homeland.
All in all, if you want to visit PR, this is the perfect spot to stay at (if you don’t have pets).

"The staff was quite attentive, anything you could really need is within a few minutes of walking, breakfast both good and filling. Also, my room was a perfect 22 celsius at all times (71.6 Fahrenheit).
When I checked in, I was casually asked why I was visiting San Juan & replied that I just wanted to practice my Spanish. After that, the staff switched to only speaking Spanish with me, which I appreciated. "
