"Great property with even a private rainforest trail. Lots of maintenance effort to make this place a great home away from home. Room is perfect, feel like living in a forest."

"This hotel is more like a rental house than typical hotel. There are only eight or so rooms and each one has nice views with privacy. There is no staff on site but you can contact them is needed. I would stay here again. One thing to consider, you are 30 minutes from most services. If you don’t mind that and want something quiet this is a great option."

She made the most delicious pineapple muffins.. my choice for breakfast. She was prepared to make much more but I'm a light eater. I really loved staying there!"

"This is a wonderful place to stay in Puna. It is in the heart of the area and they regularly host events, which can be fun to attend. They have a cafe at the reception area with some healthy food options, mostly pre-made."

"The owners (different than the host) are the best! They made sure that we have everything we need to make our stay comfortable and stress-free as our house in Ka’u was damaged by Hurricane Lala. The Nene Room was beautiful, clean and peaceful with its large picture window overlooking the serene forest. We also stayed in Gecko room that has one bedroom, living room, and kitchen. The Gecko room is comfortable and perfect for family and longer stays. The surrounding is quiet and close to stores,...
