The bathroom was filthy with brown stains in toilet and black grime on shower seals. The sink had hard toothpaste left on it obviously from the guests before us. “Th Leicester Inn is a very old listed property and as such has some wonderful aspects giving it great character. Being old and listed also means that modern features like double glazing and air conditioning are not present and we stayed on one of the hottest days of the year. “Basics in room (bedside light, air conditioning) didn't work. Shower was awful, a mere trickle of water. Omly one flannel provided when there were 2 of us. Bedside table the size of a playing card. Lighting horrible, either off or blazing bright., no dimmers. Restaurant food mediocre and drink prices high. Room layout bsdly designed with not enough space to put stuff and pointless 'office' area which served no useful purpose. Not enough sockets in the room. Iron was cheap and nasty. ...

“Marvellous breakfast and staff who were extra helpful, finding us a room more suitable for the elderly than the original booking. Room was very convenient and clean, Both of us sadly found the beds uncomfortable and the ac very cold! Large car park at the hotel but like so many hotels these days, the main dining room was unexpectedly closed to individual guests in the evenings due to a party booking, both the nights we were there. Fortunately we found a fantastic pub 5 minutes walk away...
