“A good alternative to staying in Halifax for us while visiting family. Clean and comfy room with a modern feel and easy contact-free checkin/out. Has parking, but we were car free so used local taxis for the most part to/from Sowerby Bridge centre (£10 each way) and also walked a few times (be aware, quite a steep but enjoyable climb, takes around 25 mins). “Fabulous recent 2 nights stay at the Black Swan Inn . Food was excellent and the staff were friendly and very efficient . Our room was a lovely large space and a very big king sized bed which was extremely comfortable . We will definitely return . ”

“The attention to detail is so lovely. Everyone was really helpful and we enjoyed the food, the surroundings and the spa. A really beautiful getaway. The female members of staff had to put up with a pretty misogynistic guest while we were there (which we witnessed at breakfast) and they kept their cool and handled his rudeness with grace and patience. A lot of friendly professionals work here and you can see they put love into their work! ”
