“Lovely hotel with a lot of character and history. Great location for sight seeing and scenery. Rooms were nice and cosy. Bit of a squeeze for 4 (2 adults and 2 kids) but we only stayed for 1 night. Breakfast to order was lovely. We ate dinner next door at the pub/ bar. ”

“Stayed here with my husband and 2 kids (5 and under). The room was spacious and clean. Parking was convenient. Breakfast had minimal items which was in line with expectations from past reviews (milk, cereal, porridge, bread, jam, coffee). My only issue was the shower, the way it is heated doesn't provide flexibility to get the temperature correct (3 settings of cold, luke warm, burning hot). We only stayed one night so it was fine. ”

“We had a wonderful view from our room once the weather cleared up. Dinner reservations book up fast so I recommend booking in advance if you plan to have dinner there. The pub that is attached to the hotel was great. All staff were very friendly and helpful. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay there and wouldn’t hesitate to return. ”

“Small family owned hotel. Located in a remote location, so very peaceful and quiet. In the evening there is a nice fireplace in the lounge. Perfect for a quick pre or post dinner hangout on a chilly night. Drive to the hotel is filled with scenic views of the water, rolling hills dotted with grazing sheep! “Quiet, beautiful setting on the bay while sheep graze. Staff was friendly and helpful. The cold breakfast was quite large, with a variety of meats and cheese, fresh vegetables and fruit, cereal and muffins. The bed was a little hard and it would have been nice to have something to place our toiletry kit in the bathroom.We loved the towel warmer!”

“Convenient location in Portree. Rooms are modest but well maintained. There's a public parking lot right out front which is nice though it probably gets filled quickly as visitors visit the town, and they ticket cars right as the free overnight period ends in the morning.”
