Top South Coast Hotel Reviews

The Durley Dean Hotel
4/10 Poor
"The hotel did not live up to its 4-star rating. The bar was closed when we returned after dinner (11 pm) to have a drink. The coffee machine was cleaned so no coffee available. The drinking chocolate machine broken down so manually made with water. The sauna was barely warm and no steam room. One reception staff was rude to a customer checking in, the bathrooms were way out of date. Breakfast was at an additional charge but good. No help given us as we struggled up the stairs to check in. I do not recommend this hotel. Sandra Seldon Devizes Wilts"

"Good broken and draughty window"

Maldron Hotel Brighton City Centre
10/10 Excellent
"My recent stay at the Maldron Hotel, Brighton was excellent. I was particularly impressed with the helpfulness of the staff. My room was clean and comfortable with all facilities provided. Also the standard of meals provided was of a very high quality with a menu to suit all tastes. I must comment on the excellent breakfast, which gave a wide selection of food again to cater for everyone's needs. Finally, a very big thank you all staff who made my stay most enjoyable. A return visit I think."

Laguna Hotel
8/10 Good
"The water in the pool seemed a bit dirty to me and there was some dirt on the bottom of the pool."

Bournemouth Highcliff Marriott Hotel
10/10 Excellent
"We went as two families during Easter weekend. The staff were great! The hotel is in an ideal location, right on the seafront and within minutes of Bournemouth pier, which was great for us as we had lots planned in the area. The only down side was the breakfast on our second morning, there was a bit of a chaotic feel as the hotel was at full capacity, the staff seemed a little frazzled. There was no food in the buffet when we headed down at 10am, which was ridiculous as there was still an hour of service to go, so we had to stand around waiting for the food to be replenished. We heard quite a few people around us complaining about having waiting 15 mins for pancakes and eggs… then the tables were not being cleaned quickly inbetween so there was a long queue waiting to be seated. When we were, the area around our table was very dirty. They definitely needed more staff if they knew they were at full capacity. Other than this, we had a great stay. The hotel had put on some fun activities for the children for Easter and there was a hot chocolate station all weekend which the kids loved. The rooms were super clean too and very spacious. We loved our stay and recommended it to our friends who then went the following weekend and had an equally great time."
