"Too little for too much.
I paid for two nights in the governor's suite, overlooking the lake, and it totaled almost $800.
The good:
We were on the top floor, and had an okay lake view considering the location. Parking was secure in an underground garage, but does run $20/night. The lobby was immaculate, and employees were all professional despite the rush of a wedding crowd. The special elevator for high floor patrons is also lovely. The food and drinks served at The Bar were tasty, but be warned that portions are TINY for the prices - $30 for max 4oz of steak on my steak frites. They also had no desserts. At all. Room service breakfast was excellent, with the exception of moldy fruit being served. Pool area is nice, but VERY small for the size of the hotel. It felt too busy with 6 patrons in the room.
The bad:
The room itself read more Motel 6 than high end hotel suite. The furniture was all old, beaten up and the couch was far too low to be comfortable. The toilet in the tiny bathroom space was the same, practically on the floor. I realize I didn't book an ADA room but my able-bodied partner even had trouble. The in-room hot tub was the biggest problem. It was the reason I booked the room. We turned it on (empty), used Epsom salts that came provided, and after letting the jets run for maybe two minutes there was scum, hair and filth in the water and on the side of the tub. This was disgusting and unusable, negating the whole reason for booking the room. Upsetting."
