"A very friendly welcome, they were happy to accommodate our very late (11.30pm) arrival after we travelled there on the ferry. The owners have recently taken it over and in the last few weeks completed an overhaul of the bar/restaurant area which looks lovely. "My second time staying here, and I will be back. The room was spacious super clean and comfy and the woman on reception couldn't have been more welcoming and helpful. Breakfast was excellent. It's a shame they don't reopen the restaurant for evening meals though, I'm sure they would be busy every night. The Co-op has changed to an Asda - it's right across the road and the hotel offers wine glasses in the lounge if you bring a bottle in to your room. Very nice place."

"We were very pleasantly surprised to learn our 1 room family suite had 2 separate bedrooms. Beds were very comfortable and the bathroom was nice. Only issues were that we only had 1 key which made it tricky every time we went separate places. Also there was an illuminated exit sign in the king bedroom we had to cover up it was so bright, and when others shut their doors it would thump ours. Loved the skylights, was a bit stuffy but those helped. Loved the breakfast!"

"Fyona and Colin are the ultimate hosts, who looked after us fantastically during our short stay. Going above and beyond, they don't just 'own' a guest house, they run a very welcoming 'guest home', with outstanding breakfast and clean, well equipped rooms and a friendly, helpful and informative attitude. Truly enjoyed our time in Karrawa and would certainly return again and highly recommend to others. THANK YOU for going the extra mile for us!"

"We were very lucky because both times we parked at the hotel, we got one of the 2 slots in front of the hotel, so we didn't have to try and find the additional parking lot, but the staff did give us a map to find it. Keep in mind that there is no lift, so depending on your floor you need to carry your bags up. The 23kg bag was not much fun to take up and then down 2 flights of stairs. The food for breakfast was very good whether the cereal/yogurt/fruit or the from the menu. The staff in the breakfast area were really good. The front desk is a little wonky because even the person in the office there isn't as helpful as the front desk clerk who isn't there most of the time, but who is very helpful when you can get them. The WiFi isn't extremely fast, but I was able to work, especially in the library where there was power. It would be nice to have higher chairs with tables other than coffee table height. Even in the room there isn't a desk to work at. We were overall very happy with the stay and the Italian restaurant across the street was perfect for eating early."
