โQuirky hotel, described as "no ordinary hotel" and I think for once the marketing hype is well founded. A beautiful setting, quirky rooms, good food. โ
โA unique and quaint property. Owners have a long history with owning the beautiful lodge. Perfect for what we needed (1 might stop over). Would love to go back once fully renovated as a wedding venue. It has so much potential and I wish them all the best. Quirky fact - Charles Dickens stayed here back in his heyday! โ
โAmazingly large and typically quaint old coaching inn under new and energetic management. We stayed because of proximity to Althorp House. Stand out feature is the food at typical pub prices but far from typical. It was superb and makes it a destination in itself. Such a pleasant change to eat real home cooking and not some chilled and reheated offering.
Full English breakfast included in room rate and also superb. โ
โGreat service from check in, around the bar and check out. Room was perfectly clean, clean bathroom with powerful shower. Extremely comfy bed and amazing pillows!
There were no tea/coffee facilities in the room but free tea and coffee in the bar for members and it actually got you out of bed and up so this wasnโt an issue!
Close enough to the arena to drive or taxi there, was around 5 miles, and the taxi cost ยฃ8.
Amazing host, already pre booked another stay.โ
โExcellent stay, great staff and lovely accomodation. The breakfast was superb and bar and dinning area really relaxing ! Would definitely stay again and would recommend without hesitation ! Many thanks โ
โGreat family room, spacious. Lovely outdoor space for children.
Food was excellent, very generous portions. Gluten free catered for very well.
Unfortunately the shower in room 33 constantly dripped.
Other than that great 1 night stay after a long day at Twycross Zoo.
Thanksโ
