Even without an elevator, the parking location made it easy to access the room. Beds were clean and comfortable. Showers had nice high water pressure that gave a massage feeling. Cons: The building is historic, so the floors had older carpet. Newer flooring, e.g. newer carpet or luxury vinyl plank could improve the stay experience. Parking...

“We had a lovely time at The Royal Hotel. The staff were all very nice and chatty. The breakfasts were amazing and the room was very comfortable. We would highly recommend The Royal Hotel to anybody planning a visit to Stromness. ”

“The Ferry Inn is a combination hotel/pub with breakfast included on our booking. We ate dinner both nights in the pub restaurant. The food was good & they had several choices for each course. The location was excellent for the Scrabaster/Stromness ferry & it was easy to navigate to Kirkwall & all the sights.”
