"Good location to Kensington High Street and surrounding area"

"A very good hotel on a quiet side street round the corner from Bayswater and Queensway Underground stations, lots of restaurants etc. The building was undergoing extensive renovations at the time of my visit but it did not really bother me at all. The room was tiny (as usual in London) but more than adequate for a short stay, with a comfortable bed and a clean bathroom. Everything worked perfectly well. The cost was very reasonable by London standards, although that may have been due to the hotel charging a reduced rate because of the renovations. A special thank you to the extremely helpful and kind receptionist - sorry, I didn't get his name - who helped solve the mix-up (which was my fault entirely!) over breakfast."

"This hotel is a little off the beaten track for me as I normally stay close to Fitzrovia in London. However, I wanted a hotel with a gym / pool, and this was situated an easy walk away from Westbourne Park underground station (a few stops on from Great Portland Street station). And what a pleasant surprise I had. This is a funky, fresh hotel with brilliant facilities. My room was a great size and included a small kitchen. The air con in my room was excellent and the gym is good enough for a solid workout. Added to this was a cinema room and pool (neither of which I used) and a fabulous canal side restaurant (the rolled lamb belly was unbelievable). This was all topped off by EVERY single member of staff being kind and considerate. If you want a hotel that is a corporate chain - this is not for you. If you want great facilities in a relaxed, non pretentious atmosphere, this is worth a go."
