Complimentary water and daily English language newspaper was also a nice touch. Another convenience was the underground Kyoto subway station connected to the hotel together with a shopping mall! "Hotel The Mitsui was a phenomenal hotel. The amenties, design, and cleanliness were truly standout. The private onsen was lovely. The attentiveness and knowledge of the hotel staff really is top notch. The Japanese style breakfast was beautifully presented. This is one of the best urban hotels I’ve ever stayed in Japan or Europe. I will definitely be returning when I come back to Kyoto. I highly recommend this hotel. "
