“We chose to stay hear because it was our dream on this backpacking trip to stay in a castle. The castle is beautiful, warm, with the wood fireplace burning. I will say that for a very old property they keep it extremely unkept. It is of older charm, so keep that in mind (older carpets, less electrical plugs). The food , staff, and the stay was amazing, I only wish we weren’t backpacking so we could’ve stayed longer. One thing to note are that the parking situation threw us off alittle because...

“The room was very clean and warm. Toiletries, bath robes and slippers provided (although slippers a little on the large size for me, just being a size 2) !! Staff very efficient and friendly. Breakfast very nice and served to order lovely and hot. Dinner was also delicious. Coffee/tea was served in lounge following dinner in front of a lovely roaring log fire. Overall highly recommend this excellent hotel and will definitely return in the future.”

““I stayed at the Atholl Palace Hotel for two nights, and unfortunately, I was disappointed with several aspects. The water pressure in the bathroom was weak, making it uncomfortable to shower. The bed and other facilities were quite uncomfortable as well. There was no concierge service, which I found inconvenient. Apart from the nice views and the historical charm of staying near the castle, I didn’t find much value in the experience.””
