"Don't judge a book by its cover, we pulled up at the Apex and thought we'd made a mistake, as from the outside the property looks a bit shabby, this however is not the case on the inside. The reception area, bar and resturant are all very modern and clean, we were however unable to enjoy the restaurant as it was fully booked but we were able to eat in our room by ordering room service and carrying it up ourselves, the meal was really good.
Note the rooms are not air conditioned and although there is a fan we did have to open our window, this was fine on our first night but not on our second night as the Quayside room that we booked has a road between the hotel and the Quay, with speed bumps at both ends of the road, we had a night of fast and furious drivers slowing over each bump then hitting the gas to the next speed bump, there seemed to be a lot of motorbikes as well and at one point in the early hours it sounded like someone was being killed outside. Book a carpark view room, the Quay isn't that interesting, I was expecting a marina, it's just got a load of inflateables floating in it.
The room was clean and comfortable, the bathroom was clean, the swimming pool and steam room great. Thanks to the housekeeping guys who were really friendly and looked to be working their socks off."
