“Beautiful place and lovely dinner”

“Was ok. Peaceful location but huge gravel car park directly in front of ground floor rooms was noisy in morning and evening. Stale smell inside the hotel in general. Staff were overly “formal / professional” - felt almost awkward at times and didnt feel friendly. Hot breakfast for £25 not good value, continental breakfast at £17 also not good value (yoghurt, granola, canned fruit and watermelon). Good bedding, comfortable beds, but at this price I would not return.”

“An excellent B&B with welcoming hosts. A beautiful quiet location but still within easy reach of Oban and other activities. We had a large comfy bed and amazing power shower in our room (Islay). The cooked breakfast was delicious and included local ingredients. We would definitely recommend it and hope to stay again. Thanks for a lovely stay.”

“We loved our stay at number 17 the Promenade! Rooms were small, but very functional-and was easy to hold our luggage from our two week long trip in Scotland. The food and the restaurant were absolutely delicious and the staff were very attentive! We actually canceled our second night at another restaurant and chose to stay and eat again in the hotels restaurant. There wasn’t any air-conditioning or elevator, but a good fan in the room kept us cool and the stairs were manageable. I would...
