“If you're looking for a unique unpretentious above a bar experience, this is an awesome place. A good mix of local and traveling crowd downstairs, very casual, relaxed setting, while upstairs, possibly the smallest functional room I've ever stayed in, but it worked perfectly for two, and a lifetime of stories to follow!”

“Whole hotel was spotless Hotel is on 3 levels although no lift but no great issue Had breakfast one day plenty on offer and all freshly cooked buffet style. There is an additional charge Hotel is very central and town centre is easily walkable Didn’t use the bar facilities. Car park is at rear and charges £10 per day Would recommend”

“Another fantastic stay at Aspen lodge where nothing is too much trouble and you are served amazing breakfasts. Stayed for a week and we literally had a different breakfast daily. You can eat indoors or outdoors too here. “Checked into our first room, toilet flush inop and a washing up bowl on the side with the toilet fixings hanging off. Reported to reception who moved us to another room with a sauna, sauna did not work, horrendous noise from the kitchen fans and no sea view which we had upgraded to. Back to reception for a second time and had to argue to get moved room again. Third room was terrible, smelt damp, curtains hanging off, paint peeling off walls and cracks in windows. Only upside was the food was...
