โBit deceiving based off the pictures but also if you know the area at all shouldnt come as surprise. Check in was seamless and our room was in order but bring a flyswatter and probably air freshener (room reeked of unknown odor that may have been urine mixed with cigarette smoke ~ who knows tho.) we just needed a place to lay our heads for the night on our roadtrip so could have done worse but for sure could have done just a bit better. Definitely a grungey place so if you need a cheap room...
โWe have stayed here several times. It is a very cool property in a beautiful, historic building. The decor is hip and stylish, the service at the front desk and lobby bar was excellent, the room was well-designed and, most importantly, the bed was very comfortable. Itโs located within walking distance to the Vikings stadium (and lite rail station), the Guthrie Theatre, and the Mill City Museum and riverfront, and a longer walk or short Uber ride from the Twins Stadium and North Loop. Highly...
โWe had an amazing stay while in the re for a gymnastics camp. The evening/overnight desk staff was not only beautiful but very personable and welcoming. She made sure everything was ready and checked in on us, there was authentic conversation and she definitely made us feel welcome. The morning staff was more reserved and didnโt say much to us, but the overall hotel was beyond expectations.โ
โSpectacular stay! From the moment we arrived, everything was wonderful. Clean and cared for facility. The gal who checked us in (Claudia, I think it was) was so warm and personable. The fella behind the desk was warm and wonderful as we checked out (and I think he might have been maintenance). Room was clean and had every single thing we needed. The price point was a remarkable deal. Whenever weโre back in the area, we will stay again, for sure! Bravo, everyone! โ
โThis hotel is beautiful and elegant. Friendly and helpful staff. Within walking distance to many restaurants and venues. We will stay here again!โ
โIโve traveled a lot for work over the years and stayed at a lot of different properties. This was my first time at Avid and I was very impressed by how updated and clean everything was.
Most hotels I stay at always have something small thatโs not a huge deal but it is an annoyance, like outlets that donโt work or not enough surfaces for your suitcase and bags. Theyโve thought about the details.
I was pleasantly surprised with my first stay. Iโll definitely add this to my list for future...
โBeautiful building and very clean, modern apartment. Right across street from Target Field and reasonable walk to downtown and North Loop restaurants.
Only complaint: keypad on lobby entry door either not sensitive enough or too sensitive - lots of retryโs needed. On the other hand keypad on room door worked every time.โ
"i stayed 4th floor of the hotel, but the heater broke down, so I had to changed room twice in the middle of the night, and the last room I stayed wasn't even warm enough."
