We love this local inn directly on the beach. It has some maintenance issues like our fireplace didn’t work and the sliding glass door leaked during our stay.

This Hotel was quaint and retro. The descriptions and reviews told us just that. For the price, we truly enjoyed having a balcony with every room to listen to the ocean. We were on the 3rd floor. We watched people gather every day on the beach and surroundings. The hotel was dated but comfy. It was within walking distance of many restaurants and even the grocery store. The room was clean, bed was cozy and we felt quite comfortable, loved the shower. The desk staff were very nice. The breakfast is helpful for a quick store bought danish to munch on. We would stay again if in the area.

Wasn’t expecting a ton given the relatively low beach front ocean view rate but we were more than pleasantly surprised. Room was great. View from the 3rd floor was worth it alone. Staff was friendly and helpful with food suggestions. Breakfast was not so great but you don’t end up caring.. Definitely coming back.

I enjoyed my stay . It had a great view of the ocean, a fireplace, nice soft bed. Nice continental breakfast in the morning.. It also had like two bedrooms with the queen beds very nice. There were also a lot of nice restaurants around within walking distance.

It’s an older building, so theirs not enough counter space in the bath, the fridge may go out, you may have to hold the handle to flush, you may need instructions for the hot water in the shower to figure it out- but I will go here every time . The staff is super sweet, the restaurants great (except the Italian place) and the location to die! Love it

Although the rooms are outdated and the TV small and not smart, the room itself was clean, bed comfortable, the shower large with great water pressure, and we had everything we needed. The balcony was equipped with table and chairs, looking right out onto the beach and ocean with stunning sunsets and beautiful mornings views. I loved keeping the slider open in the night and allowing the sounds of the waves to allow me to sleep. I was glad to get maid service daily like the good old days. Parking free and right on the property. Good restaurants nearby if you’re too tired from the activities of the day to go to town, which is close by or the marina also close by. The price was reasonable for this gorgeous ocean front view (all rooms look out onto the beach/ocean). I would definitely recommend and will return.

We had the first floor ADA room as I use a cane and a (rented for the weekend) wheelchair. Bathroom was especially easy to maneuver via wheelchair and the fold-down bench in the shower was very handy. However, truncating the sink countertop left no room for toiletries or cosmetics, making it difficult to carry/balance/reach for everything being held in one's lap. Perhaps some floating shelves on either side of the sink would be helpful. Coffee maker was nice, refrigerator was wonderful, but a small microwave - just big enough to warm up the leftovers you brought home from dinner - would be really terrific! Trying to eat a cold burrito the day after kinda' sucks. Also - please - HANGERS! Two best things about the room: 1) Mattress - I have steel braces in my back, plus an implanted battery pulse generator. Hotel beds are notoriously hard and unforgiving, requiring a fortress of pillows under and around me. This mattress (memory foam?) molded to all my bends and curves with only two pillows under me. I slept like that proverbial baby. 2) FIREPLACE! So comforting, so cozy, so romantic, so warming. Falling asleep to the sound of crashing waves with the patio door slightly open, while dancing firelight warmed my toes was heaven. The automatic timer turned it off after 30 minutes, and by that time we were both soundly tucked in dreamland. We will return again, next time second floor for a higher view, the heck with ADA needs. But should I bring my own mini-microwave?

Last minute business to Ventura that required an overnight stay. We took and chance on this property and so glad we did. Rooms were clean, view was amazing and the management staff was incredibly accommodating. If additional project site visits are needed for my project, I will def book this property again.

I don’t like to give bad reviews but this place really fell short for us. While the view was amazing, the room itself was lacking quality upkeep. There was only a small fan (literally a 10 inch fan) for air circulation. We needed to open the balcony door and the interior door to the hallway to get any air movement. Which felt unsafe. We slept with the balcony door open and set the fan on a chair facing the bed to get any sleep. The balcony setup and the sound of the crashing waves made the room feel like it wasn’t a complete loss. This place could be phenomenal and booked solid if they updated it. The Victorian style is one of the reasons I chose this hotel, renovating with paint, furniture, carpeting and A/C without sacrificing charm would bring it to 5 stars for sure. Especially considering the price.
