At first I had concerns due to the “look” of the place then I realized it fit in well with the atmosphere…clean rooms, NO bugs, pleasant staff. Enjoyed the stay.

I stayed 4 nights. Parking was a breeze and close walking location to Ventura Pier (ocean) was nice. Motel is more meager than what I am used to. The property is older, shower is small, and there's no soundproofing between the walls. However, for a basic place to stay that's cheaper than alternatives, it met my needs. Would stay again.

The staff was very nice. It was clean but very outdated, the TV didnt work and nothing has been updated in a long time. Location is good, as its close to downtown and the pier and fairgrounds.

Their office is not staffed 24/7 as stated. Their English is rough but very kind people and professional. The building is old but it's close to the beach. Pool not working. Had to pay $20 for a late check out.

Clean comfortable bed, hot shower, microwave, cold mini fridge, coffee maker, working TV with DirecTV. Good locks and blackout curtains. Nice reception lady. It was quiet on a Saturday night. Safe area. The parking lot does fill up later, if you leave you'll lose your spot so just walk or taxi to downtown, it's a 10 minute walk. Also walkable to Ventura pier/beach. The Kwikimart store across the street is very convenient but overpriced fyi. Good close casual dining options for fish tacos and Mexican food literally a block away: Spencer MaKenzie's Fish Co. and my personal fave, Corrales #1. It was a good stay! :)

clean but very old - needs repairs

the room was clean and on the ground floor for wheel chair accesses like I requested but very old and in disrepair. Room needed a lot of updating and items to be repaired in the room.

No ice machine. Pool under repair. Bathroom shower curtain held by washcloth against wall. Cracked and peeling bath shower walls. Light bulbs missing. TV only worked one night. Mattress was comfy and sheets very clean. This was like a highway motel time forgot. $134 for 2 nights. Never again. Expedia has Motel listings like this ??? Using Expedia never again.

good for cheap surf setup

This is a what you see is what you get situation. Ok family run situation. Shower leaked… bathroom window had handprints from the outside…. It’s what you’re expecting for the rates. Feels a bit sketchy, the deadbolt didn’t work. Otherwise it was fine. Cigarette burn on the comforter. Bed was decent. Mismatched furniture. Remote on the tv didn’t work. That is to say this all within the expected realm of 65$ a night.
