Wyndham Garden Fort Walton Beach Destin

"I was nervous about booking this place because of the mixed reviews, however this place was absolutely perfect. The staff were very friendly, and room service changed our sheets and towels and made our bed every day so we never had to worry about sandy sheets or dirty towels. The one day we were busy when they knocked so we said no thank you, and they left a package of clean towels and toiletries outside the door just in case. The pool was absolutely perfect and the service there was excellent too. Always had clean towels available. The hallways were always spotless. Not a speck of sand or bugs in signt, ever. The beach access was perfect. I highly recommend this place."

The Island Resort at Fort Walton Beach

"The Island had everything we had hoped for when booking. Yes there are "extra" fees for parking, resort fee, beach chair/umbrella rental etc but most oceanfront properties had the same. I booked here because I wanted an experience, not just a place to sleep. We were celebrating our 20th wedding anniversary and enjoyed every minute of it. It's an older resort, but our room was modern and comfortable. The multitude of swimming pools was nice. Overall the vibe was definitely an Island one. If you're on a strict budget, do your homework on the extra fees. I was fully aware ahead of time so wasn't shocked. The breakfast option is definitely worth the money. The beach is exquisite and very clean. I highly recommend this resort and will stay here again.Joanha in the gift shop is a true gem also...loved her spirit and lively attitude. The wristlet room key...FINALLY a key i could keep up with. Fabulous idea."

Embassy Suites by Hilton Destin Miramar Beach

"Beautiful Hotel with poor service. We tried to use the hotel business computer but no one on staff had the password. Informed it was broken but the open page asked for a user name and password. We stayed for a week and our bed was made up only one time, one day we had no cleaning service or clean towels or in our room. I had to go to the front desk because no one answered the phone. I asked for towels, 30 minutes later I had to go back down to the front desk to ask for towels again, because once again no one answered the phone. There was sand all over the floor which was never vacuumed up the entire time we were there. We tried to get coffee from the kitchen one evening which we were told we don't fix coffee in the evening. I'm retired military and used to stay at Embassy Suites every time I went TDY. Judging this hotel's standards things have changed not in a good way."

"Stayed at Comfort Inn in Destin and had a really good experience! Q The room was clean, the staff was friendly, and the location was convenient to everything. Breakfast was a nice bonus and the overall stay was comfortable and relaxing. Great option for a Destin trip without breaking the bank!"
