“Room was clean, well maintained, nice hot shower & comfy bed. Tea, coffee, biscuits and a decent size cup are always a plus ! Solo female travelling for work. Only stayed for one night but had everything I needed. Felt reasonably safe. Only issue was the 2nd cottages directions sign was on the right hand side of road & obscured by a tree branch, so I didn’t see it & my sat nav took me left at the end of the rd & up a very tight private road to a bungalow based on the post code. “Check in was easy and friendly, a lovely collie welcomed me into the yard as well! The Tack room was clean and comfortable and good for my brief stay. I hadn't appreciated how noisy the motorway would be and so had to close the windows in the bedroom to be able to get to sleep. Apart from that it would be a nice place to stay to explore the area. I was up very early in the morning, and it was perfect for my requirements.”

The one thing that I think let it down was the quality of the beds - 4 singles - the mattress lacked support and you could actually feel the springs in it. Beatrice was lovely and very welcoming the only thing we was a little uncomfortable with was we felt we was living with her as she was next door and her balcony was right next to ours.
