"Property on outside was beautiful. On inside was very nice. When you first walk in, carpet looked worn and it did not smell very fresh. Some paint on walls was chipped off. Master bathroom sink drains pretty slow. These are not deal breakers for us but giving you feedback. We will be back and would recommend others. It was a nice time."

"It was really good! The hotel room was clean and neat. There was a rainfall shower head. The hotel is being renovated so the outside looks like a prison but the inside looked amazing!! Elevator needs updating. But other than that we will definitely be back!!!"

"First time staying at The Colonies and we will definitely stay again next time we’re in Williamsburg. The property is nicely located near the outlets, supermarkets, and restaurants. The pools are great, just the right size to keep an eye on the little ones. And the rooms are spacious and clean, albeit dated. The couch in our room may have very well belonged to George Washington :) so I’d suggest they keep their furniture more up to date since many families use the living room space. Outdoor space for each unit was great for a morning coffee, and there is parking outside of each unit. All in all, a great stay, and we’ll be back. "

"Very friendly staff, especially the front desk and breakfast attendant. The hotel was very clean. The renovation was very well done. The room did not smell. There was shampoo, conditioner, soap, and lotion provided by the hotel. Only real complaint was that the lotion was a little watery (in comparison to the same brand at their Virginia/Norfolk location where we stayed at the day after). Breakfast was very good. No cold cuts; just bread and pastry items, cereals, and two options for waffles (mini and regular) with two flavor options. Also had some oranges. Did not get to use the pool as we got to the hotel late and had to leave early. Chose this hotel based on previous reviews and not disappointed. I would l definitely recommend and would go back if in the area. "
