“The room was clean and spacious. Has the usual complimentary hot drinks, hairdryer and also an iron and ironingboard. A choice of scrambled eggs, beans, bacon along witk a good range for a continental breakfast, served early from 6am both Saturday and Sunday, useful as I had to be a the event from 7.30am. Helpful, pleasant staff. Enjoyed my stay. Also this hotel was walking distance (5 mins) from the Telford indoor shopping centre where there was a large range of shops and places to eat.”

“The beautiful setting and views of the river Severn were wonderful. The staff were always extremely helpful and welcoming. The bedroom was very comfortable and clean. The breakfasts and evening meals were of very good quality. It was our first visit to Shropshire and we would certainly come back to the Riverside Inn which was perfectly situated for day trips to Shrewsbury, Ironbridge and David Austin Roses, among other places.”

Explained everything we needed to no took us up to our rooms etc . So nice so friendly and approachable . All areas and rooms very clean and tastefully decorated to a high standard . “Ideal place to stay whether on business or personal. Accommodation is separate block in carpark, which has plenty of parking. Marston’s restaurant food is excellent. Room was great with aircon if needed. Note 2 story with stairs, so best to phone if infirm so you can secure a first floor room. 8 full fat EV chargers on site, including Chademo. “A historic building just off the square, this beautiful B & B never fails. The owner, Ruth, goes out of her way to make sure that you have a comfortable stay, bathed in luxury and quality. places like this are few and far between these days. Superb!”

“Lovely place However, AC was not working and needed to be on when we arrived. Far to hot. When we tiried to turn on, it was broken. A fan was provided, which helped, . But as warmth is insured on arrival during colder days, AC needs the same consideration in the hotter temperatures”

“Stayed one night at the Shrewsbury rooms from start to finish everything was great we stayed in room one on ground floor well the decor the cleanliness everything was lovely would definitely stay here again. Nice little touch of takeaway cups if you want to leave with a coffee lived this. Only thing is the pillows where a little to firm for me. “This pub is located in the very centre of the town an thus walking distance from most attractions and restaurants. The place is clean though rather basic with few amenities. No breakfast is on offer. Our problem was that the bedrooms appear to have been built into this historic building with little or no sound proofing. The noise from the bar below sounds in the bedroom as if was coming out of the wardrobe! The music played seemed to be a challenge to the drinkers to shout over it. We could get...

“Great little find here! Lovely pub with great atmosphere, food fab with onsite restaurant. The room was really well presented and lovely decor. My room was facing south and west on the hottest day of the year, thankfully the staff provided a fan and there was a well stocked fridge in the room too. Breakfast was continental style in the room in a lovely hamper, plus yogurts, milk and orange juice in the fridge. Would go back again when in the area. Thanks team.”
