"My first impression of this resort was not the best, but as we stayed there, it slowly grew on me. First of all - all of the staff - especially (Brissa (Concierge), Vanessa and Angel (activities), Manuel (pool side service) - to name a few - were all AMAZING! All very hospitable, kind, and communicative. Really appreciate all of them. Pros - Room (4712) was quiet, even though it was right next to the elevator. Beautiful room. Pools were nice (cold when you first got it but adapted well)- we traveled with our child so we stayed at the 2 family friendly pools. Beach was nice - soft. The ocean was nice as well but NOT swimmable due to jelly fish and the aggressive waves. Fun for wading/chasing. Cons - Food was just ok in my opinion - the restaurants were nice (definitely do the hibachi at the Asian restaurant), but definitely inconsistent. The buffet had a beef, chicken, fish, and pasta option every night. Alcoholic drinks were inconsistent. All of the frozen drinks were too chunky. Pool chairs - they don't have enough chairs to support the number of people at the resort. People were saving as early as 7am. They also don't have any lounge chairs or palapas at the beach which was surprising/disappointing. Evening entertainment was subpar. Other resorts had fire shows, impersonators, etc - none here. They did have karaoke on the beach, and a dance event one night. Wasn't a huge deal to us but wanted to share."

"This resort was very calm and relaxing. Exactly what I wanted. The staff was very pleasant and attentive. The breakfast bar was great. Huge shout out to Alexis, Ana, Florinda, and Javier. They greeted me every morning at breakfast and were so welcoming and attentive. Thank you! I also enjoyed how they honored the Expedia VIP status. There was a bottle of champagne in my room upon arrival with a hand-written letter. I also received a $90 credit at the gift shop. I enjoyed the activities.. Especially the spa. Cons: - My sheets were not clean when I checked in but staff immediately changed them. - Room service order was wrong twice. - The restaurants that require reservations were mediocre. - the shuttle is $30. I get car sick and concierge recommended I do a private “taxi” for $135. It is NOT a private “taxi.” It’s the shuttle bus by yourself. I would never have spent the money if they didn’t deceive me with that recommendation. Please don’t make that mistake. Just do the shuttle bus for $30. Overall, I had an amazing time. The resort is well-maintained and the staff really tries to go above and beyond. I would stay here again, I just wouldn’t get a private “taxi” again. "

"The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The property is in need of updating. The pool tiles were dirty in some areas and pool edges were cracked. The mirrors in the bathroom needs replacing and the shelf in the bathroom was slanting. The phone in our room did not work and we had to report that. The food was all very good."

"The shuttle was smooth arriving and returning. Staff at resort was amazing. Food was great. Such good restaurant and adults only a plus. Only complaint I wish they had a night life for adults. Not the other resorts with so many sprinbreakers. I love the 9pm shows but i would have liked a more detailed after party in the resort. That is the only thing the lack and the pina colada mixture is disappointing. But everything else was great."
