Kandy 3 Stars Hotels

"The Sevana doesn’t look like much from the outside, but inside is spacious with lots of public seating areas and great views from the rooftop. We stayed here on two separate occasions and both times it was very good. Rooms are comfortable, staff are helpful. There’s a filtered water fountain with reusable glass bottles you can take to your room. The hotel organised a car and driver for us; both the car and the driver were very good, which is not always the case in Sri Lanka. There’s not many...

"This is a very nice small hotel. Room was spacious for the three of us (my husband, me and my son), comfortable bed and clean. however, this is situated on a very noisy road and also the train passes next to the hotel. nevertheless i was so tired that it was not a problem sleeping. "

"Brand new hotel recently opened, so everything looks new and good quality fittings. Members of staff were very attentive to our needs. Views are great because the hotel is up in the hill so you get beautiful views of the lake and temples. Great rooftop pool with infinity view. We really enjoyed the Sri Lankan breakfast"

"The hotel is perfectly placed to walk to the temple, lake and market. A 20 min walk of brief tuk tuk ride from the station. Reasonably comfortable bed with a private en-suite. The only issue was that one wall of the room is a floor to ceiling window that looks onto the hallway and lets in light from the hall until it is switched off around 11pm. So maybe ask which rooms might be best if you prefer the dark! Air con very good and warm shower. The food is delicious, both breakfast and dinner....

"The views from this hotel are beautiful. The location is very hard to find, in spite of signage, which had faded from the sun. Google Maps does not take you directly to the hotel, instead it has you driving anywhere but to the hotel. The hotel staff seemed frazzled and disorganized. The dinner was a buffet, while not delicious, it was sustenance. However, the cleaning staff and staff in the restaurant were very kind and accommodating."

"Nice, clean, and affordable hotel in Kandy. Centrally located which was great when we wanted to see the main sights. Great mountain views from your room. The road to get there is a little difficult but if you have your taxi call the hotel, they can easily direct them."

Quality of hotel quite basic but good given the budget price, didn’t have any food so can’t comment on this. Would go back again especially if wanting a more budget option in Kandy. "

"Good sized room, but bathroom smelled damp with a whiff of sewerage and the shower backed up until I resorted to cleaning it out, which was not a pleasant task. Overall cleanliness was adequate though the floor was dirty and the room wasn't cleaned during the three days I was there. Pictures of the hotel make it look as though it's further back from the road than it is and some people may find the noise of horn-happy traffic from around 06:00 until 22:00 disturbing if in a room at the front....

"Der blev afholdt 2 store arrangementer samme dag. Det betød at vi blev vækket med høj musik allerede kl. 7.00. Da der skulle afholdes bryllup ventede vi 1 time på morgenmaden. Det viste sig at der også skulle holdes fødselsdag om aftenen - så der var høj musik til 23.15. Der blev ikke gjort rent på værelset mens vi var der, og der var ikke wifi på værelserne som der er angivet. "
