"The building and rooms are beautiful and the view from the top floor is spectacular! The staff were helpful and the breakfasts had a nice variety. The Wifi never worked and would keep disconnect which was quite annoying and it is next to a Main Street which was a little noisy in the night times. Overall definitely would stay here again!"

"Our stay here was almost perfect. The staff was excellent as was the breakfast selection. We did not use the pool as hoped, but it looked beautiful. Great to have a full kitchen available to us to store and prepare food. Wish we had known this ahead of time (as well as close location to grocery store); we would definitely have planned things differently! Our room was small, but we didn't spend much time there, so not a problem. Great price/value for this stay! Good location; close enough for us...

"I don't want to over hype this place because I want it to be available for my next trip. This hotel is a former dept store so you've got very high ceilings and giant windows. The windows have wooden panels that secure over the windows ensuring total silence and darkness when you want to sleep. Good locks, great location, great staff. Make sure you visit the Greek restaurant across the street "

"What an awesome find. Small walk-up hotel with the friendliest staff, good beds, great breakfast, and convenient to Ponta Delgada, just a 15 minute walk. MY only concern would be finding parking in high season, but it was no problem for us in November."

"The property is located in the heart of the city centre. So walkable to and from so many dining options, sites, and shopping. It is not that far from the airport as well. It is clean and staff were so helpful."

"Overall, the property was Good: breakfasts, the dinner we had, the rooms were all as expected; the interior decor is good: the dining room had a display cabinet with an old radio set I remember from when I was a kid!! The location is a short walk (downhill) to the City Gates, good for buses, shops and marina with its shops and restaurants. Unfortunately, we were in a street facing room where, on Wednesday night, we were woken up by music and what must have been karaoke at about 0130 (Thursday)....

"We used the hotel to stay whilst we travelled around ponta Delgada. The staff was really friendly, the room was clean and well kept, beds were comfortable. Would reccomend. "

"It was a nice comfortable hotel. The staff was friendly and efficient. I wish there was a refrigerator in the room. The interior furnishings were fresh and modern, but the outside could be maintained better. Being so close to the water probably has challenges with salt air, but paint and power wash might make it look better on the outside. "
