โWe really loved our stay at Furnas. The hotel staff was nice and helpful, breakfast buffet was excellent (it didnโt vary over the 5 days though), the cabin was great and we made good use of our kitchenette (microwave didnโt work). The pool isnโt heated and the weather gets a bit chilly in certain days but itโs not profound so it wasnโt too bad. The hotel proposed a zip line activity which was a lot of fun. The restaurant was only upon reservation at night (4 or 6 course menu) and quite pricey,...

The location is quiet, remote, and beautifulโperched on the cliffs with peaceful sea views and lush gardens. It was especially nice to be able to walk down to the ocean through the grounds.
The hotel feels very calm and relaxing, but you definitely need a car to get around.

โHassle free check-in (earlier check in was available for us) by a very welcoming and attentive staff. The room was very nice, clean, bright and had comfortable beds and air conditioning. Breakfast was more than adequate. They also had parking on property, which was super convenient. Location is great: near eateries and grocery stores and yes...the hot springs. โGreat location - peaceful, tranquil and walkable to the town. Rooms are a little old and could use some upgrades, but was comfortable. They offer towels for going to the thermal pools. Breakfast was standard continental.โ
โI was looking for some respite and a place where I had easy access to hiking, the hot springs, and restaurants. I had a two day stay in Furnas before i headed home to the States. I arrived early and lucky for me one of the apartments was available. Not only that, they have me breakfast. The property is so beautifully laid out where you can hear the birds as you relax on one of outside chairs or in your room where an entire wall is made up of windows overlooking the hills.

โSimple, but nice, clean, modern style. Well located for a lower cost visit to Furnas. Has a common kitchenette that with fridge, coffe maker, utensils and such, and a cute little market steps away, along with the delicious water of the tres bicas fountain, provide low cost food options. The restaurant downstairs is also very good. โ

โThe only issue was with the lack of a wake up call on my first day when I had a morning tour planned. Neither of the two I requested went through. However, I am in a Portuguese speaking country and was not equipped to request a wake-up call in that language. The one staff member was not able to understand me, so I noted the next time I asked for a call, she wrote an hour later down- when I noted it, and wrote the correct time, she had another staff member aid me and we were able to...
