Some people in reviews have complained about road noise - they should be realistic about their expectations. It’s an old property right next to a road. If you are someone that’s sensitive to road noise”

“We really enjoyed a brief one night stay with friends. A great location in the heart of a lovely town, a good selection of ales, friendly staff who make you feel welcome, and a really enjoyable dinner.
Our room was comfortable, clean and with a nice en suite bathroom, and the breakfast was really good.

“This is a lovely hotel. Each room has a microwave, plates, bowls and cutlery, fridge and iron and ironing board plus the usual kettle. The beds are kingsize and really comfortable. The bathroom is clean and the shower was powerful. The walls looked freshly painted. The man on the desk was friendly. We would definitely stay here again. ”
