“We loved staying at the Alaia resort. The room was clean, the staff was friendly, the air conditioning worked well and the property was well taken care of. We will definitely be coming back!”

“The resort itself was wonderful- tropical, beautifully maintained. Our suite was spacious, clean, well appointed and had an awesome view. Staff was indifferent- front desk wasn’t overly helpful nor were people in the dive shop. We did have a great server at the restaurant and our guide on our snorkel trip, Carlos, was awesome! The pool and surrounding area was very nice. The beach was an unfortunately affected by all the sargassum. The staff worked diligently at cleaning it up though. ”

“False advertisement, the property is under construction and is nowhere near being finished. There is no direct access to a private beach other than a 10 minute boat ride to it. The room was clean and the staff were kind enough. They seemed agitated if you asked more than three questions about the area or amenities. The rooms did have good ac and were spacious. ”

“The bartender Eddie saved the day. He’s the pool bartender. The food nor the beach did it for us. We checked out 2 days earlier. Although it was nonrefundable we chose to leave and enjoy the city. The sea grass swarmed the beach. It was so smelly I couldn’t smell my perfume daily. For the price we paid the food wasn’t good at all. The best thing on the menu was the cheese burger. Didn’t receive a welcome drink or hot towel. Very disappointing ”
