“We had a great stay. George the owner is very proud of his property and showed us all around his gardens. The rooms were spacious, clean and modern. Very convenient to Daintree Discovery Center. All damage from the December 2023 “extreme rain event” have been repaired. Don’t hesitate to book. You can have breakfast and dinner at the hotel cafe. Otherwise, there are very limited restaurant options, and no markets nearby, so stock up before you get on the ferry, either at Mossman or Port Douglas....

“It was a good hotel where I could spend a wonderful Christmas with my boyfriend. We had 6 swimming pools so we could swim quietly and the location was close to the city so it was good to have a restaurant and a beach view. First of all, hotel room was very clean, and there was kitchen, and we ate and cooked wonderful evening.”

Communication with the property managers was excellent at all times, and they were extremely responsive and helpful throughout our stay, providing lots of information about Port Douglas and surrounds at check in. The 3 BR apartment was well equipped and very comfortable. We would have no hesitation in staying there again or recommending Nautilus Apartments to others. ”

“Lovely little hotel, perfectly positioned between the main street and the beach. Lovely pool with lots of semi private areas for couples to relax. Lovely staff, nice breakfast, didn't turn a hair when we arrived 1 minute late for the designated breakfast window. I would not even look at other options next time - would be v happy to come here again.”

“The best part of Thala is the staff. It’s a little out of the way, a little hilly and hard to navigate but everything is forgiven by the kindness and attentiveness of the staff. Brett took us on a long and comprehensive nature walk doing everything he could to show us the animals and plants and explaining everything. When we had a flat tire Brett and Sam worked until they figured out how to fix it. Neither would accept even a tip. The stay was wonderful ”
