“Very clean. Presentation was great. View is beautiful. Hotel Service is world-class. I was disappointed with the restaurant food and their service, given the buzz online. Lastly, the only real complaint is they didn’t have a fitted bed sheet. A none fitted sheet believe it or not moves while your sleeping and then your body is most certainly touching a surface that I imagine is not cleaned as frequently as a fitted bed sheet. Eww!!! Add a fitted sheet!”

“Great place to stay. We have visited many times. The room was good, beds comfortable, staff excellent. Pool(s) and jacuzzi is great. My only complaint is the pool water is too cool but hot tub is hot as it should be. If the water was just a few degrees warmer in both the main and atrium buildings it would be an5 plus. All adults that were there said same thing and there were a lot older people.”

“The location of the property is awesome with a great view. There weren’t any food choices nearby or coffee shops open at the time. The air condition was full of mold so we didn’t use it. The coffee machine was broken when we checked in but they quickly brought us a new one which was never used! That was the best part and the view.”

“Friendly check in at the front desk, clean room with a great view.”

“Absolutely great Maine ocean view trip!!!”

“Room was clean. However, it was very Small. Much smaller than expected. Main male person was pleasant as we checked in , older woman not as helpful or as nice. Kitchen Dining Staff were excellent. Breakfast was very good. Dinner was good as well. View of Beach was spectacular. Room looked larger in picture than in person. It was adequate but tight.. Thanks”

“Nice place. Room had been refurbished with a divider between the beds and a nice kitchenette. Most importantly, there were NO chemical odors in the room or hallways.”

“Convenient location off the highway. Property appeared to be newly renovated; the bed was comfortable and clean. Room 116 was noisy; carpet on the floor in the room and in the halls would really help absorb the noise.”

“Loved the continental breakfast. Coffee was exceptionally good.”

“There was a bug on a pillow on one of the beds. The room was dirty and dingy and the breakfast was terrible. I will never ever stay here again and the person at the front desk is very rude but Janet is extremely helpful and kind. She made my stay a little more comfortable.”

“Our room was very nice, big and spacious and spotless! The mattress was very comfortable and you can’t beat the location into town, a very easy walk. It sits right next to Jonathan’s Restaurant which I highly recommended as well!”

“The property location is perfect. You can walk to all the shops and restaurants as well as Marginal Way. The main hotel is older. The floor of our room was very uneven. The bed was comfortable and the towels were not too thin. Breakfast is served in a back room without places to sit. In the summer this is not a problem since you have a beautiful wrap around porch with tables and chairs, but in the fall when it is cold there is only 2 tables in the lobby. The pool and hot tub shut down for...

“Neat, clean, and attractive.”

“Forth year coming the Portsmouth Hotel. Staff is great as well as the accommodations. Can’t wait to go back next year”

“Loved the location and very clean adorable room.”

“Great location, big room, many amenities and comfortable beds.”
