“Lovely location and good view from outside space. We had to phone twice in an hour to get the check in information after 3pm. The shower was blocked and very very mouldy on arrival. The blockage was fixed but remained very dirty. Their was a lack of facilities - main light not working in bedroom, bedroom and kitchen not in same apartment, no cover for duvet, only see through net curtains, only one dinner sized bowl/plate, very dirty sofa in kitchen space, stale smell throughout on arrival. ”

“The apartment was clean, spacious and had all the amenities we needed for a short stay in Varenna. It is located very close to the local bars and restaurants and a 15 minute walk from the train station. The self check-in process was simple, although the instructions we were sent had the wrong box described for our apartment, but it was self explanatory once we got there as the boxes are all lettered. “Beautiful spot, but difficult to access without a rental car. We were travelling on foot/train/bus and we had to rely solely on the 2 or 3 taxis in the township. The walk was ok downhill, but very arduous going back (We're in our 70's). We chose Varenna as it much more affordable than Ballagio, and the views are simply breathtaking. With a car, this would have been perfect, but we also found that the locals were very accommodating and actually took us home in their own vehicles a few...

"The hotel location is perfect. Carrefour and shopping shops are within walking distance. The parking lot is spacious, free, and convenient to use. The room is old, but spacious, clean, and comfortable. There is mini fidge, 2pairs of slippers and amrnities in the bathroom Two things that could be improved: 1. I connected to the hotel Wi-Fi, but it was so slow that I ended up using my data instead. 2. The shower drain in the bathroom was clogged, and the water was slow to drain, making it uncomfortable to take a shower."
