“This stay was unforgettable due to location and frequent animal sightings. The area along river was an attraction in itself. The only negative was no having climate controlled room (AC). It would have been less noticeable if the cabins were designed to let heat out of room with windows properly placed at top to let airflow cool room. All and all we loved the placed and would return again. ”

“This property is magical. I felt like we were in a little town in Switzerland or Germany with the cute buildings. Listening to the river at night was peaceful and we had a family of elk come for breakfast right to our door. We will be back for sure! ”

“My husband and I stayed at this property for a night while driving across Colorado for vacation. South Fork, Colorado is a great town in the middle of the mountains! We enjoyed our stay at the Spruce Lodge. The room we stayed in looked like it was remodeled, yet it still had an old-school charm :) We could see the mountains from our door and smell the pine when we opened it. “Lovely old Inn from 1890. Sitting on porch in morning sipping coffee was nice or wine in evening. Community kitchen to store any food items and can cook there if need to. Outdoor firepit. Only complaint is we were on lower level of carriage house. The people above us were loud and we had to complain to management. Was mot very relaxing in our room. So ask for upper floor room when booking. Otherwise lovely area to visit.”
