“This hotel gets a lot of bad reviews but for a budget hotel it was great for a 2 night stay with my daughter for a cheerleading competition. “Horrendous! 1 night stay with my daughter - didn’t sleep a wink. Dirty, mouldy, and felt unsafe. I nearly drove home in the middle of the night if it wasn’t for my daughter being asleep and needing to be up early for a cheer comp at the BIC. Would not recommend and would never stay here again! Worst hotel I have ever stayed in.”

“Good breakfast. I did speak with property about solo travellers being stuck at the back of the dining room. Why cant we have as good a table as anyone else? I am an experienced traveller and dont like being treated any differently to anyone else! Whole hotel and the grounds are georgeous though and I enjoyed my time there. My single room was nicely spacious.”

“Excellent location right opposite the castle. Very comfortable and the staff were friendly and welcoming. Good food at the 18 restaurant with a 30 per cent discount for hotel guests. Would definitely return in the future.”

“Food poisoning the first night, rooms hotter than the sun, zero water pressure in the bathrooms. Constantly chasing staff for the most simple things. They ran out of ice. No fans for the rooms. No one collecting glasses or emptying an ash tray. Asked for a coffee in the morning and waited 15 minutes.. got up to ask where it was "oh i couldn't find you" yeah because you were in the kitchen flirting with the chef.. Could be such a wonderful place, if the staff weren't recreating Fawlty Towers”

“What an absolute lovely stay. Very simple yet very well executed. The dinner was absolutely delicious, really mesmerizing, don’t skip it! Breakfast was included and it was amazing!!!”

“It was a small room and no air conditioner, but unfortunately the breakfast wasn’t very good! Very few things, The croissants were born, not to many varieties!”

“Very pretty property, with a great view. A little distance from the city center, but they run a most friendly and flexible shuttle into town that works great, very good idea and a very commendable effort. Breakfast is good. We had a large room (2 adults 2 kids) very spacious. Some aspects of maintenance could be improved, but it is always a challenge with these country homes, they have the charm, but not everything is impecable. A little on the expensive side, but reasonable. Great parking.”
