“We were surprised to be told that the kitchen was closed that evening due to an illness of the chef when our dinner reservation was accepted that afternoon by the receptionist. The room was spacious and clean and the bed was comfortable. There was a bar, but the white wine was undrinkable. The continental breakfast was of a poor standard.”

“The hotel is about a 15 minute walk from the town. It is in an old building so has charm and historic interest. Staff were helpful and friendly and rooms and common areas clean amd well maintained.”

“We thought Hintlesham Hall was superb. Every member of staff that we came in contact with was friendly, helpful and eager to please. The accommodation was very clean and our room was well equipped with attention to detail. The breakfast was excellent, plenty of choice and well presented. Afternoon tea was also a lovely experience. We enjoyed sitting in the pretty garden. We will definitely visit again!”

“Vanessa and Steve were exceptional hosts and the facilities at “The Foxes Den” suited us perfectly. Everything was most satisfactory and we ended our stay with a delicious full English breakfast which kept us going for quite a while!!! “Great hotel set in quiet, open expanse of countryside backing onto golf course with ample free parking. Room was large, modern, comfortable and well appointed with beverage kit, kettle, hair dryer, iron and ironing board. Staff were lovely, very friendly and helpful, and leisure facilities - gym, swimming pool, sauna, steam room, jacuzzi - were outstanding. A thoroughly enjoyable stay and returning next week.”

“The hotel was lovely with some good old character and a real country pub feel about in the bar and terrace area. The staff were very nice & professional at all times and nothing seemed to be a problem for them when asked for or of them. Breakfast was delicious with a good selection & choice apart from Black Pudding (LOL). The only criticisms that I have are, being in room 45, the shower was pretty awkward to use because of where the shower head is mounted and had to position ourselves awkwardly...
