“I booked this hotel through Expedia and was not made aware of any parking charges during the booking process. When I checked in, no one informed me about the parking fee either. Later, when I questioned the charge, the front desk employee told me it was listed on the DoubleTree website. I explained that I booked through Expedia and therefore did not see the information on the hotel’s direct booking site. Unfortunately, the interaction with the front desk was disappointing. “Cool hotel (old home to the Citadel) with nightly happy hour. Friendly staff. Room contained outdated and uncomfortable furniture. Shower (4th floor) had very poor water pressure. Parking very expensive ($50 for valet and $23 daily for parking next door).”

“We paid extra for a room with a balcony and we were literally placed in the corner next to the maid closet. So every morning they slam the door open(no fault of theirs it’s just the way the door opens onto their carts as they stock them). Then no balcony. Second floor yet people on street just talking, not shouting sounded as if they were in our room. I paid a lot of money and was nothing but disappointed with this property. I now see why people don’t like to stay here.”

Shower gel was completely empty, but front desk sent more quickly. Found several pubic hairs in the shower and hotel never acknowledged by message about that.
