"It was a great stay, location is a bit out of the way but in a very nice quieter area of the city, was very happy with our room aside from the fact the “windows” were beside a stack of machines so sounded like an airplane going off, they did offer to change rooms but we stayed as the room we had was very modern and bright. Breakfast included for one morning was average, overall recommend staying here and the hotel itself is so quiet. "

"The design and layout of this room was so well thought through - we agreed it was one of our best hotel experiences, especially over 5 nights. Helpful staff, great location, and great facilities and amenities."

"clean and spacious room with hospitable staff in a central location (right outside marutamachi station). our room came with a washer dryer unit which was convenient even though we didn't get to use it! the hotel is also right across a family mart, mcdonald's and 7-eleven so it was really convenient."

"The check in process was super easy. Friendly staff and clean rooms. Close to Nijo Castle and there’s a Lawson in front the hotel if you want grab something at night. "

"
One of the most unique and memorable hotels we’ve ever stayed at. You walk around without shoes, which immediately sets a calming, authentic Japanese atmosphere. The onsen was wonderful, and the breakfast was hands down the best we’ve ever had—an incredible variety and beautifully prepared. Most importantly, the staff especially in the dining room, was exceptionally friendly and helpful, making our stay truly special. Our kids had a wonderful time. We would absolutely stay here again."
"Hotel Monterey Kyoto was absolutely amazing! Perfect central location near subway for easy sightseeing. Spacious, clean rooms with elegant design and a fantastic onsen for relaxation. Friendly staff and great value – I’ll definitely come back!"
"The hotel was nicely located with the subway station within steps of the front entrance. The hotel rooms are dated but are clean and spacious. Great value for the space. "
