"Room perfect for the purpose of a family of 4 getting a good nights sleep before an early flight. Customer service and restaurant staff not of the same quality as I’ve experienced in other Hilton hotels. Restaurant service was terribly slow, staff all inefficient, inexperienced and a lazy manager. When I asked for the service charge to be removed at no point did she ask why…. Looked like an unhappy camp although the number of staff was plentiful for the customers in the restaurant."

"Very impressed. Great place to stay and very reasonably priced. On site facilities very good - pub & restaurant. Breakfast very good and able to cater for my wife who is coeliac. Easy access to the A1 and would happily recommend to anyone wanting to stop over on the long journey to Scotland & back. Regular bus access to Newcastle too"

"Great building. Lovely room. Eat in the restaurant and the steak was really over cooked. I really should have sent it back. We had breakfast the following day - full English. The fried egg was hard and the field mushroom was very over-done"
