"The hotel decor is beautiful, the staff are so helpful and friendly. We had a king room with a view, which was a great size, room amenities perfect and view of the bridge. It really does have special feel to it. I would love to come back and use the hotel again, however I didn't feel that the quality of the bed linen and pillows matched that of the hotel, they are quite scratchy and pillows completely flat, I didn't get a great night's sleep, obviously making it a hard decision as to whether to try another hotel on our return. I can say, the restaurant food is absolutely fantastic, steak cooked to perfection, starter and desert also delicious!"
Royal Station Hotel

"Overall a brilliant hotel, right by the station and well located for everything. Reasonably quiet room despite overlooking a main road. Breakfast was a good selection, we are there in the evening a couple of times and it was lovely. Front desk happy to look after luggage which is a huge plus The room we were in had obviously had some repairs - patched up hole in the bath and a usable but cracked sink - so could do with a refresh. Beds were comfortable, roomy enough for a couple of days. Leisure facilities small but nice - had a lovely swim. Overall would recommend and would consider returning if back in the area."

"The hotel is in an excellent location close to all Newcastle has to offer. Throughout our stay staff were kind, helpful and seemed happy to greet their guests. The room was comfortable and well maintained by cleaning staff with good quality toiletries. Coffee, tea, biscuits and cartons of water were replenished daily. Breakfast was plentiful with a large menu of cooked to order items which were well presented and of good quality. Breakfast staff worked extremley hard replenishing, clearing tables and bringing hot food to their guests. All staff were friendly and polite."

"Standard room slightly small - but fine - Hangers face you and can be annoying to get clothes from the back of the rail. A few knocks and chips in the Bathroom - but shower good and for the price can't complain - overall a very good hotel for the price - Bar is good usually has sports on - 5 min walk to Asda and 10 min walk to Bars in Gosforth not eaten food so can't comment on that"
