The setting overlooking the coast could not be bettered - and enjoying it whilst tucking into an excellent buffet breakfast was great. We will definitely return.”

Very easy to explore the whole of Dorset and opposite a train station, (Moreton) if you want to use the train. There’s also a bus stop opposite. We were close to the Tank Museum, Clouds Hill and the village of Moreton has a beautiful church with stunning windows, and it’s where TE Lawrence had his funeral and he is buried close by- you can visit his grave. Because of the connection with other itineraries, I could only plan the itinerary for one night at corfe castle, but it gave me regret that I was only just able to stay for one night. If I stayed for 2-3 nights, I would have added to the flavor of the trip by drinking beer or tea in the garden while looking at the wonderful view, steam train, and castle. “Really convenient place to stop on way to Dorset to rest and refresh before continuing journey. Room was spacious and had attractive bathroom. Receptionist was polite and helpful. The view from my window was a field and trees which I appreciated. Huge TV and very comfortable bed. Would stay again. Unfortunately it was during a heatwave and with south facing windows I don’t think the temperature in the room dropped below 30c! The chap at breakfast said there is a plan to put in AC.
