Food was excellent and room was very clean
Staff were very friendly
The one downside was that there was no parking but that was the same for all hotels in that area
I could have spent all day looking at the shipping artefacts in this inn
Would definitely return for another stay โ
โAbsolutely beautiful property, we had an amazing view of the river tweed and the gardens are lovely to walk around. You are in walkable distance to everything in Kelso which is great.โ
โSituated in the very centre of Kelso, convenient place to stay when exploring the area. Checkin was done very easily, with clear instructions sent beforehand. There is a Greggs just in front of the hotel, and also several restaurants and takeaways in close vicinity. There was double glazing in the room, and hence better insulation. โ
โEvery where in the hotel was very clean and well presented, the dining room was spacious and comfortable, breakfasts were amazing. The bar was also good and although we didn't eat the food looked good. The hotel and bar are very dog friendly. Everyone was warm and welcoming, we really enjoyed our stay. If in the area we would definitely stay here againโ
โOur stay was amazing from start to finish. I was kept updated with information regading all aspects including check-in protocol, wifi details and breakfast timetables.
Our only interaction with staff personally, was at breakfast, which was delicious.
We had a great conversation with one of the staff who gave us some fantastic advice and information in preparation for our visit to Edinburgh later that day.

โGreat little hotel. Friendly owners and staff and perfect for a night or two. Lovely toiletries and coffee/tea facilities. Didn't have breakfast, but will next time. Looked amazing! โ
โHad a really great 2 night stay. Room was lovely, so comfortable. It was a great period style - but still provided for todayโs needs - great wi-if, large shower, plenty of sockets. Ellen looked after us really well and couldnโt do enough for us. As for the breakfast - superb! Great choices and didnโt need lunch! โ
โRooms are well furnished with good quality furniture. Staff were friendly and very pleasant to talk to. Overall the establishment is a 5 star rating with excellent good quality meals both in the morning and at night. Ideal location for getting about the area and would highly recommend this venue. โ
โThis was a rabbit warren of a hotel, with rooms of all shapes and sizes scattered throughout the site. We were initially given a very dark room, which was a strange shape, and a yapping dog next door; we were given a much better room when we complained.
There was a problem with the wifi connection throughout our stay, and as the mobile phone signal was poor, we had to leave the hotel to get an internet connection.
There was insufficient car parking on site and so we had to pay ยฃ10.80 per day at...
โSuper choice of hotel as it is near the station, so it easy to get to & from.
It is also located a bit away from the main shopping area, so quieter than if nearer the town.
The staff too were very friendly & helpful.โ
