The property turned out better than expected. Going in, I knew the room would be small as I had one my research ahead of time and this was Tokyo after all. However, even though it was small, it was manageable for my family of 5 and we stayed there 3 nights. There were several things I liked about the hotel. The room was modern and clean. The beds were super comfortable. The A/C worked great. The TV was a SMART TV with YouTube and Netflix. And, there was a separate room for the toilet and shower. The main thing I didn't like was the entrance. The steps were very steep and there was no handrail. When it rains (which often occurs in Japan), the steps are very slippery and it is easy to slip and fall (which I did unfortunately). I have relayed this back to the hotel management and hopefully they address this before someone hits their head and seriously gets injured. I do not recommend this hotel for elderly people until the entrance issue is addressed.

Lovely staff and a clean studio apartment style room. It is well-situated near the Tokyo Tower and there are several convenience stores nearby.

Enjoyed a fabulous stay at the Nohga Hotel in Ueno. This is a smaller boutique type hotel that sits in a very quiet area but just 5 minutes from the Ueno Station. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. The hotel is spotlessly clean and had everything we needed, including a selection of toiletry supplies which was very helpful when one of suitcases arrived late. There is a nice pop up bar in a comfortable lounge to relax with very reasonable prices. The coin operated laundry was also very convenient. Overall, they made us feel very welcome throughout our stay. Thank you for your wonderful hospitality!
