“The staff (Bea, Noah, Sarah, Freddie and Todd the chef) made me feel very welcome, which is something you appreciate when you travel solo. At the end of day, the Rosevine is a very delightful hotel.”

“Staff were lovely but the property needs a lot of TLC. The bathroom is tiny but well equipped. Good location for st Michael's Mount but not much else nearby. Bonus was, they offered breakfast included but we weren't hungry enough for a full English breakfast 😟”

“Such a wonderful property, and the rooms are so very clean and comfortable. We slept so well, and were treated quite nicely. Kate is such a lovely host, and her brekkie is top-notch. We enjoyed chatting with her as we ate, and found her delightful and helpful. The farm setting is so peaceful (for us guest that is, a lot of hard work for owners), and the location is great for visiting the Lizard and other places around south Cornwall. Thank you much for such a great stay!”

“Darren at reception was really lovely, the lady who served us breakfast in the morning was very lovely and accommodating. The hotel dog ran up to us barking as we were leaving, which was a bit alarming. The bedroom was simple and clean. Unfortunately the hotel has an awful smell, even in the bedrooms, like damp or mouldy carpets. A bee was in our room, luckily my husband was able to get it out. I appreciate it is an old historic building, but a deep clean and refresh of the carpets might help.”

“We received a warm welcome and the owners were friendly and polite. The abbey was easy to locate and our room was comfortable and a good size. The breakfast is excellent and you can walk to a nearby pub for dinner. Pleased to see parking was provided as well. From here we explored the jail, Fowey, Charlestown and everything in between so it’s a central location. I would recommend the abbey for a nice place to stay if you want to see the surrounding areas.”

The kitchen staff were brilliant. Everyone was so friendly and helpful. The location of the hotel made it especially great due to the amenities nearby in the plaza and fuel station. “I ended up booking this on a lark, and what great fortune it was! The location, the attention to details, the fluidity of welcoming attentive and informative staff to impeccable grounds, made it a memorable stay. They combine high end service w/ a feeling of being at home, I will most definitely be booking with them again. Highlights: Spa inclusion w/ room stay (sauna, steam bath all pools especially heated outdoor!) location: coastal pathway to St Charles. Nature walks, no cars to everything...

“Geen ontbijt terwijl dit wel aangegeven staat en waar we ook voor betaald hebben. Doen ze al 4 jaar niet meer maar niemand die de moeite heeft genomen om het aan te passen. Is niet gecompenseerd. Verder zeer gehorig, oud, zeer matig onderhouden kamer. Bed met doorgezakt matras aan een kant. Eten was ook matig, hoewel de frietjes wel goed waren. Gelukkig was het maar voor 1(onrustige) nacht, maar prijs-kwaliteit verhouding is hier zoek. Veel te duur”

“A beautiful hotel in an incredible location, with lovely spa facilities that are worth a visit. The staff were friendly and welcoming throughout our stay. That said, for a hotel of this calibre, we did notice a few areas where the experience fell short of expectations. Small touches — like having the tea tray refreshed without needing to ask — are the kind of details that elevate a stay, and we found ourselves having to prompt for these. Breakfast was enjoyable, though it’s worth being aware of...

“The property is tired. Some of the staff worked hard. Some were obviously inexperienced. But the big problem was there were not enough capable staff. Long waiting times for food. Ordering systems that failed. Simple things like getting your own coffee at breakfast did not work. Altogether a lack of energy and commitment to getting things right was missing. No obvious management. Fabulous views, great weather. Frustrating hotel. We stayed one night. Could not imagine staying longer. What a lost...
