"This is a good spot inside the massive grounds of Yellowstone.
+
Quiet comfortable rooms
Lodges nestled among the pines
Great gifts shops
Multiple eating options
-
Everything here is very spread out
Parking is tricky, especially during busy season.
No elevators, so lugging cases up multiple flights of stairs can be a challenge.
No AC (we brought a fan though) so your only air flow is from open windows.
Overall a passing grade for a comfortable stop within the park."
"This location was nice but felt a little bit like a price gouge knowing that it is one of the only options in the area. The cost per room is a little over $350.00 per night. The rooms do not have air conditioning or TV's. I do understand that in this area, you shouldn't be wanting to watch TV and generally you do not need air conditioning, but for the price point, they seem like amenities that should be present. While the staff at both the desk and restaurant were great. The food at the restaurant was just okay and over priced. I had a teriyaki chicken dish that was $35.00 and included two small pieces of grilled chicken with a glaze. Flavor wise it was decent but once again at the price point I would expect more."
"Great location, only two miles from the East gate of Yellowstone, very friendly and helpful staff, and a beautiful fox sunning himself 50 feet from the cabin one early morning!"
