“My only gripe isn’t the cottage owners fault but that of hotels.com as this properly was listed as reserve now pay on arrival but the money left my account within seconds of booking. Hotels.com excused this by saying it’s in the terms and conditions but don’t advertise as such! “A staff member advised that the hotel is focused on catering to venues. A wedding was being held when we were staying. We were advised by the hotel in advance but after booking through Expedia. The best parts of the hotel are reserved for the event leaving hotel guests not part of the event to be catered for in poorer situated parts. “Hotel was lovely, staff very friendly and welcoming. Food good, service excellent apart from Saturday morning breakfast which was a bit disorganised. Everything in the courtyard rooms (dog friendly) was great. Very clean, showers worked well, hot water etc. everything you expect but don’t always get. Also a good location. Would return.”
