“Very nice hotel, clean and friendly ”

“Room was cosy and clean. The hosts were very courteous from arrival to departure. Breakfast was absolutely superb, very fresh and tasty produce. Would stay again.”

“This is the first negative review I've ever had to give. We stayed at The Golden Lion Hotel St. Ives. (13-14 Feb) We stayed in Room 20 which was very small and had the constant, very loud noise of the kitchen extractor humming. On the first night it was still on at 10.45pm and we had to ask Reception to deal with it and then it was back on, waking us up at 7pm. “Good location and lovely staff”

“Road noise audible from the nearby A1 but expected that so ear plugs prevented any issues. Dated decor and furnishings but room clean. Tea coffee kettle in room. My priorities for this stay were location and cost and Redwing Lodge delivered on both. Staff very friendly, self service breakfast basic toasts, cereals, drinks. Perfect for a budget stopover spot. ”

“A lovely stay at Thorpe Guest house. Lovely area and very relaxing. The hosts are very helpful on local area amenities and our stay. Would recommend highly if staying in the area. I would book again when visiting family and friends near by.”

The parking was irksome (and even though hardly anyone was using it day and night the staff gave me a tedious "if we break a rule for you we'd have to do it for everyone" admonishment.)
