"I was attending a 2 day conference at Excel and travelling alone, so felt safe if I had to return alone in the evening. Staff were super helpful. I had a "take away" my first evening and in the mornings they were happy to freshly poach eggs for me. On the second evening I went to a nearby Chinese restaurant with colleagues. "The building & grounds are both very attractive. My room was modern, spacious, light & the bed was very comfortable. I also had nice views of the gardens. The carpet & furniture in the room needed a little repair although understandable with general wear & tear. The food in Sartoria was very good & the food in the Garden Brasserie was excellent. Service was very good across the hotel with all staff being professional, friendly & helpful. I will definitely stay again. Many thanks! "
