“The accommodation was clean and spacious. The decor is quite dark, but probably because of the dark beams. The welcome in the pub wasn’t great, we weren’t acknowledged whilst standing with our bags in the pub. I understand the stafff are busy, but a simple’hello, we’ll be with you in a minute’ would be nice. We didn’t see any members of staff as the breakfast is a completely self service buffet. “The room was good in size and decor , garden room suite. We were on the ground floor the room above us you could hear everything even the person snoring , the floor must have been floorboards and we could hear everything, This woke us up and continued throughout the morning!”

“My family stayed in 2 superior rooms for one night. There is no lift so luggage has to be carried up the stairs. Room 14 was on the first floor and huge, room 30 was on the second floor and slightly smaller. The shower was over the bathtub with a curtain. The staff in the restaurant and elsewhere were excellent and we enjoyed the food (bearing in mind this is a Greene King, not a Michelin starred restaurant :). “We had a good stay at the Sloop Inn. Lovely friendly staff. The best breakfast. The property is a little dated, and the bed isn't the most comfortable, but it was all good for a one-night stay. Would recommend.”

“Breakfast was fabulous and the bedroom was very clean. Bar had Aircon which was blissful with a temp of 32 degrees !! Staff went out of their way to help with the heat - fan in the room and a spare sheet so you didn’t have to use the quilt …. Much appreciated”

“Bar with good selection of drinks, menu was extensive. I had 12oz Steak 👍 Room clean and tidy with tea and coffee making facilities. I had a full English breakfast the following morning well cooked and presented. With tea or coffee and orange juice ”
