“The room was quite large and clean. This hotel is on the outskirts of town. Nice and quiet. If your planning on spending most of you time in downtown Deadwood there are better options. The price was really good for what you received. Their is a hot breakfast but it's not really worth eating. Eggs are powered and dry. Bacon was so over cooked that it broke apart as you picked it up. Waffle mix was watery tasteless.”

“It’s a very beautiful area and I like to see the deer walk around”

“Friendly staff and reasonable price”

“It was a really neat historical hotel, that could be called a bed and breakfast. The room was well appointed and very clean. I have never had breakfast served at a dining room tablecloth fine China and silverware before as a complimentary meal! The price was in line with out chain hotels. I would fully recommend staying there when visiting Deadwood.”

“Room was roomy and quiet !”

“This place had great reviews and the fenced yard sold us since we had our dog with us. However it exceeded our expectations and we loved Spearfish. The host made the most of this space and it was decorated very well. We will definitely see if this is available next time we visit.”

“The host responded to our request for cooking pans as there was only one at the time of check in. The stairs to the upstairs apartment was outside and not great handrails. It rained a lot while we were there so a bit dicey. The apartment was nicely updated but still had a very old home feel. Window AC units only.”

“We had to move hotels, guest services were able to find us a room to check in early. Enjoyed our stay”

“We had a suite which combined the rooms of #5 and 6. Period furnishings that were actually comfortable. The hotel provided a refrigerator, but no microwave or toaster. The drinks at the bar were quite reasonable. This hotel was centrally located to historical sites. Very clean.”
