“The setting of the hotel is lovely with great views in every direction. The property is more homely than high quality and although the people serving were lovely, it lacked the quality and finesse that we have seen elsewhere in SA eg Lanzerac and Raddisson Cape Town. The service at dinner was warm and welcoming but the foot was ordinary. The rare steak I ordered was medium to well done. “If you are in Franschhoek highly recommend this property which is very central and very close to all the cafe and restaurants and shopping, they provide shuttle to the tram train. The staff were wonderful and super helpful! We had an amazing time. I have been to 30 countries and the staff from this hotel went beyond my expectations.”

“Amazing little find. The reviews are true and this place really is spectacular. We were blown away with the size of the room which was a little villa with our own garden area. We travelled as a small family and just loved how accommodating this hotel was. I just wished I could have stayed longer!”

We raised this issue twice with the hotel, and were told that the colour is due to the water coming from the municipal source. There was no filtering in place. “We loved our boutique room with huge bathroom and veranda overlooking the lavendar and pool. The bathroom was quite large with a separate room for toilet and bidet, large 2 person soaker tub and shower room. The bedroom was also quite large and luxurious. The air smells like jasmine and there are nice views towards the mountains. Each unit has a secure parking stall and a remote for opening the gate.
